An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Officer - Elective Surgery, who provides an efficient and confidential booking service for operating theatres within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. This position is the primary point of contact for patients and clinicians alike in relation to the booking of patients for elective surgery and the management of such waiting lists.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain elective surgery waiting lists by ensuring accurate and complete additions, amendments, ongoing verification and appropriate cancellations.
  • Plan the efficient utilisation of operating lists at least three weeks in advance, taking into account the urgency category and resources available.
  • Ensure patient information provided by consultants on Elective Procedure Booking forms are entered accurately on the hospital information system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely rescheduling of patient booking cancellations.

Salary between $68 740 - $76 828 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $34.66 - $38.74 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (AO3). (Full time and/or Part time positions available, hours negotiable). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
