About the role
The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively and consultatively across multidisciplinary mental health services and key non-government organisation providers to facilitate the development, implementation, monitoring and review of a systems-based approach to Universal Aftercare for individuals following a suicide attempt and/or suicide crisis.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level knowledge, expertise and skill in delivering social work/occupational therapy/psychology related clinical services to consumers within the mental health service.
- Ability to communicate and participate effectively in the social work/occupational therapy/psychology and multidisciplinary teams including the ability to provide high level clinical advice to supervisors, key service managers and stakeholders and with an ability to adequately address and manage conflict.
- Ability to provide social work/occupational therapy/psychology related clinical services of a complex nature including rapid prioritisation, suicide prevention, and discharge planning of patients in a complex clinical environment.
- Ability to provide supervision, training and support to less experienced practitioners and students.
- Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives
