Temporary full-time role commencing 12/09/2022 up to 29/10/2023 (with the possibility of extension).
You will be leading a multidiscipline team operationally who actively contribute to service delivery across the North West HHS based at the Mount Isa Hospital.
Your role includes operational management of staff including: recruitment, onboarding and retention of staff; development and implementation of governance to deliver safe and effective clinical services; and leading and supporting change through quality improvement and projects across the Allied Health team and wider North West region.
Allied Health Services include: Cardiac Scientist, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Audiology, and Podiatry with a visiting Prosthetics and Orthotics service. These professional teams provide a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery to the North West HHS, delivering Level 4 moderate complex inpatient and ambulatory care within the Mount Isa Hospital. All professional groups are actively engaged in student placements from universities throughout Queensland. The North West HHS Allied Health Services work in partnership with external service providers to support clinical service delivery across the region.
Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in management would be well regarded. Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences. Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate. VPD risk roles may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis, and COVID-19.
