The Clinical Nurse has supervisory responsibilities for the Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, Nursing Undergraduate, visiting nurses and other delegated non-nursing staff within the practice area to ensure the provision of quality, evidence-based care in consultation with members of the multidisciplinary health care team.
The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 64 bed unit dedicated to providing patient centred, evidence based care through a multidisciplinary team based model to general medicine inpatients at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being understand to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) State 2015 Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to$118,395 p.a., comprising salary rates $48.87 - $52.33 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Permanent part time positions, hours negotiable).
