About your opportunity
Fixed Term Temporary Full-Time up to 28/04/2024.
The purpose of this role will be to coordinate the research study Patient Reported Outcome Measures in cancer care: a hybrid effectiveness- Implementation trial to optimise Symptom control & health service Experience (Otherwise known as The PROMISE study) at Townsville Cancer Centre. This is a multi-site research study evaluating the effectiveness/cost-effectiveness and implementation of the use of electronic patient-reported outcome measures (ePROMs) in routine cancer care to improve patient outcomes. Participants recruited to the intervention arm of the study will complete electronic surveys at various times throughout their treatment and follow up, as per the research protocol as identified and supported by the Clinical Research Nurse
Generous remuneration package value up to $10,703 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range of $4017.60 to $4302.00 p.f. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)
- 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Mandatory qualifications:Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Highly Desirable:
- Extensive experience in Oncology Outpatient Setting relevant to the role.
- Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in Oncology nursing will be well regarded.
- Experience with the MOSAIQ oncology information system, and organisational and communication skills is essential.
- Research and/or project management experience will be well regarded
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
