About your opportunity

This is a permanent part time position, 64 hours per fortnight.

The role of the Clinical Nurse is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The Clinical Nurse applies critical thinking across all domains which include provision of care, support of systems, education, research and professional leadership. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide clinical expertise, support, leadership and education to nursing staff within the unit and communicate effectively with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.

Generous remuneration package value up to $99,995 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of$52.86 to $56.60 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Mandatory:Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant Qualification.
    • Experience in treating patients requiring tracheostomy care desirable.
  • Shift Workers:Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role:Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
