About the role

Prison Health Services are establishing a commissioning team to support the establishment of primary health care services for prisoners at Southern Queensland Correctional Centre Stage 2 (which is currently under construction. The Southern Queensland Correctional Centre Stage 2 - Commissioning Manager (Health) will lead and oversee the operational commissioning activities as a temporary role until June 2024.

The role will provide leadership and coordination of all service commissioning and planning requirements associated with the establishment of primary health care services at Southern Queensland Correctional Centre Stage 2, lead the collaborative development of activity and workforce projections and their detailed alignment to operational commissioning requirements and lead detailed operational expenditure planning and reporting activities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Organisational Planning: Highly developed skills and experience in strategic and operational planning and planning integration in a complex service delivery organisation.
  • Health Service Planning:
    • High level understanding of health service planning processes and the relation of this to capital infrastructure projects.
    • Demonstrated experience in applying health service planning principles and processes that inform and support operational commissioning preparedness of capital infrastructure projects.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing health service planning projects in a large health service organisation.
  • Research and Data Analysis:
    • High level understanding of health service planning processes and the relation of this to capital infrastructure projects
    • Demonstrated experience in applying health service planning principles and processes that inform and support operational commissioning preparedness of capital infrastructure projects.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Communication:
    • High level understanding of health service planning processes and the relation of this to capital infrastructure project.
    • Demonstrated experience in applying health service planning principles and processes that inform and support operational commissioning preparedness of capital infrastructure projects.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: High level skills and experience in developing and implementing organisational performance measurement and reporting frameworks and processes to monitor strategic outcomes.
