TheNWHHS Oral Health Service ( https://www.northwest.health.qld.gov.au/clinical-services/oral-health/ ) provides a statewide schedule of dental services to eligible patients living in Mount Isa and the surrounding areas. The service is aimed at stabilisation and prevention of oral disease and maintenance of function in the HHS region.
- Work as part of the dental team in Mount Isa for Oral Health Services, North West Hospital and Health Service, providing a high level of clinical, cross-infection and administrative assistance to Oral Health Clinicians in the provision of high quality oral health services.

Base salary ranges between $61,464 and $64,613 p.a. (CA3) or between $56,212 and $60,412 p.a. (CA2).
Requirements
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification is mandatory for appointment at the CA3 level. A 10% Recruitment Incentive may be applied for suitable applicants.
Applicants who do not hold qualifications for appointment at the CA3 level are encouraged to apply as support within the unit (including course fees) may be provided to the right applicant in order for them to undertake their certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent. However, employment would be on a temporary basis (up to 18 months) paid at the CA2 level whilst undertaking the training. Subject to successful performance, they then may be offered direct appointment to a permanent CA3 role upon completion of the qualification.
Pre-employment screening: working with children (Blue Card) and criminal history checks.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and COVID-19.
A 3-month period of probation may apply.
