About your opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dental Prosthetist to be a part of the clinical team within the Townsville Oral Health Service on a permanent full-time basis.

The Townsville Oral Health Service (TOHS) fits within the Health and Wellbeing Service Group within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

The purpose of this role is to deliver dental prosthetic services to eligible clients as a dental prosthetist in a multidisciplinary team within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Generous remuneration package value up to $118,996 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $2719.80 to $3997.60 p.f. (HP3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

  • It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Mandatory:
    • Appointment to this position requires possession of and Advanced Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) qualification in Dental Prosthetics.
    • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current annual license certificate.
    • There is a requirement that all dental practitioners are credentialed and have their scope of clinical practice defined with Qld Health before commencing employment and throughout employment with Qld Health.
    • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Townsville Oral Health Service. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. Travel on small planes or ferry may be required. The successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
