A unique and exciting opportunity exists for the Dental Prosthetist to contribute to the provision of a high standard of oral health care for eligible clients of the Oral Health Service, Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) by working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver dental prosthetic and dental technology services.

Oral Health services are provided to patient groups that meet the eligibility criteria for accessing public dental services in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deliver high quality clinical dental prosthetic services for eligible clients within the scope of clinical practice of a dental prosthetist under the current Legislative Acts and Code of Practice in accordance with registration requirements of the Dental Board of Australia.
• Actively participate and work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide support to the dental team by fabricating, repairing, and modifying removeable dental prostheses and appliances.
• Provide clear direction to support staff and practical support for other oral heath staff in their responsibility to provide an effective and efficient oral health service.

Salary rates: $48.22 - $64.69 p.h. (HP3) (casual positions) Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
