The Emergency Department has been significantly expanded. It has two resuscitation rooms, fast track treatment areas, multiple treatment bays, an infection isolation room, a separate paediatric area, enlarged waiting areas and a private family room.
The Location
The hospital is located in the major service centre for the region and is a thriving progressive community with a local population of over 25,000. Residents enjoy a quality lifestyle with city facilities and services and a wide range of accommodation, shopping and entertainment. The locality has many attractions such as the nearby volcanic craters, lakes, limestone and underground aquifers. The city also boasts beautiful parks and gardens, caves and sinkholes. An interesting mix of galleries, museums and markets provides an insight into the culture and arts of the town. With fresh local food and wines available at many cafes and restaurants everyones tastes are catered for.
The Facility
This is a key regional facility that provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care by local general practitioners to specialist surgical, obstetric, paediatric and anaesthetic services delivered by medical consultants. The facility delivers services to over 94,000 people and a further 175,000 people annually at country emergency departments. A teaching hospital with a 24-hour a day accident and emergency department, four operating theatres and day surgery chairs.

Currently registered or eligible for AHPRA registration
IMG's assessed by ACEM college will be considered
IMGs that are eligible via the Standard Pathway (AMC MCQ)
