The Facility
This is Australia's second oldest hospitalopening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and offers accredited rotations to anaesthetics, hyperbaric medicine, paediatrics and ICU.

As the main referral hospital for the state of Tasmania, this facility provides health care to a population of over 240,000. The hospital provides all general and specialty medical and surgical services as well as paediatrics, obstetrics and psychiatry and is the states tertiary trauma centre. The busy 16-bed Emergency Department provides care for 65,000 patients annually.

The Position
These Registrar positions are responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital and work under the direction and supervision of Consultants and Senior Medical Staff, therefore providing great support to learn and develop ED skills. WBA Work place based assessment can be offered as an opportunity for those that require.


Requirements
General, Provisional or Limited registration with AHPRA registration/ able to obtain AHPRA registration.
IMG's that have been assessed by ACEM and deemed partially or substantially comparable.
IMG's that have completed the AMC MCQ (part 1) or Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)


Pay
As per Tasmanian state award
