About your opportunity

Permanent part-time, 64 hours per fortnight.

The purpose of this role is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.

Medical Ward Three (AAU Acute Admissions Unit) and Medical Ward Three Stroke (TMW3 and TMW3ST) are one of five medical wards that fall within the Medical Services Group (MSG). It is a 34-bed acute medical ward for short length of stay patients which includes a four-bed acute stroke bay. Medical Ward Three medical specialties include general medicine and medical neurology.

Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $70,554 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $34.88 to $37.01 p.h. (Nurse Grade 3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
