The Position
General Surgical Registrar with theopportunity to gain significant exposure to paediatric surgery if so desired. This is the perfect placement to hone your skills and further your career with senior staff that are passionately committed to teaching and the professional development of their junior doctors.

The Location
The hospital is located on an idyllic part of the Queensland coast. With over 300 days of sunshine each year there is an abundance of outdoor activities. Popular attractions include Riverbank Parklands, a riverfront parkland attraction, the coastal strip and large neighbouring islands, the vast majority of which is national park.

The Facility
This is 260 bed major regional hospital. Having state of the art facilities the hospital has been undergoing a number of redevelopment projects at a cost of $324million the last of which are due to be completed later this year. The projects have included the construction of a regional cancer centre, a new Emergency Department, Rehabilitation Unit, Maternity and Paediatrics Unit, Dialysis Unit, and a Learning and Development Centre, together with the consolidation of a number of outlying services into the main Hospital complex.

Requirements
You must hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA. IMGs who have been assessed as partially or substantially comparable by RACS are most welcome to apply. You must have at least 12 months recent experience inGeneral Surgery.
