The position will play an important role in the leadership, medical management, clinical governance and provision of Specialist Intensivist Services for patients in the region.

The location
Located less than 2 hour's drive to Melbourne, this is the largest city in the region. The city has a large commercial centre which incorporates the major regional railway station.
Sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shopping arcades mark the commercial centre. Amble along the wide tree-lined streets, beautiful gardens and spacious parklands and see remnants of the gold rush years reflected in the architecture of the city. As the region's entertainment capital, the city is flush with alfresco dining options and a thriving pubs and clubs scene.

The Hospital
On site speciality support is provided for paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, intensive care, urology, psychiatry, geriatric, rehabilitation and cancer care medicine. The facility treats approximately 40,0000 patients a year, delivers over 1,000 babies annually , performs approximately 9,000 surgical procedures and the ED provides care to approximately 30,000 presentations yearly.

The Requirements

• FCICMANZ
• Your full specialist training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland
• Have had your specialist training assessed by the CICM and have been found to be comparable
