About the Role
The Metro South Child and Youth Mental Health Service Consultation Liaison (CYMHS CL) Team supports the paediatric inpatient units at Logan and Redland Hospitals. CYMHS CL provides safe and timely input for youth consumers admitted to these wards with co-morbid mental health needs or those presenting with clinically significant distress.

The role of the Nurse Practitioner CYMHS CL will:
Function in a collaborative model with the healthcare team to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral as required.
Provide safe, quality, cost effective care and practice within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of clinical practice, that is consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-based practice.
Work collaboratively with the health care team and contribute to enhanced patient outcomes by actively leading and supporting existing and emerging nurse-led models of care whilst maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to evolving patient and service needs.
Provide coordinated patient centred care, creating partnerships, improving patient outcomes and facilitating systems improvement.
