Permanent full time opportunity to lead our new Ward 3C, work in a brand new building & make a difference to our healthcare delivery.
Ward 3C is a co-located 10-bed Palliative Care Unit (PCU) and 14-bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEMS) ward within the Medicine and Older Person's Service Line at Caboolture Hospital. The PCU provides specialist inpatient care for people with a non curable or life-limiting illness, aiming to improve the quality of life and reduce suffering through early identification, assessment and treatment of physical symptoms including pain. The co-located GEMS ward provides evidence-based, safe, optimal and efficient care to frail elderly patients. The Geriatric Service enables the maximum restoration of a patient's functional capacity which has become impaired due to the combination of complex medical conditions, functional deterioration, chronic disease or multiple co-morbidities.
