The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist Advanced (Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Independently apply specialist knowledge, expertise and skill for delivery of specialised occupational therapy assessments, treatments and evaluations
- Utilise advanced level clinical knowledge of complex spinal cord injuries and patterns of pathology
- Provide training and guidance to advanced level clinicians looking to build expert capability in spinal cord injury occupational therapy skills
- Demonstrate high level communication skills to influence the culture of the team toward a common direction
- Utilise change management and negotiation skills to actively contribute to the senior leadership team
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- AHPRA Registration
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary part time (up to July 2023 with the possibility of extension, 19 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $65.63 - $68.49 per hour
