Your opportunity
This position will be responsible for providing support services for a patient centred health care environment including cleaning, linen services, food services assistant and removal of waste. This position will require the ability to achieve the required quality and safety standards that are set within the department initiative and sound judgement, exercise a degree of autonomy and to work with and provide support for supervisor operational service. This position is on a 14-day rotating roster with various day shifts.
About the Team
The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus Proserpine. The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital, which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of Community Health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.
The Operational Services Department plays an important role in providing a 7 day a week service supporting the delivery of a quality and cost-effective health service. A wide range of functions are covered by the team, including cleaning, clinical support, facility maintenance coordination, food services, grounds maintenance, garden services, home care services, removal of waste, linen services, transport of patients, equipment and materials around the hospital, stores, transport and ward services. This position will also be required to work with and provide support to the Operational Supervisor and the multidisciplinary team.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
