Group Linen Services, Supply Chain Surety, Department of Health are seeking a fixed term temporary full time OO8, Operations Manager (up to 6 months) to join our team. Located in Maryborough, the primary purpose of this position is to manage a laundry for Group Linen Services, achieving operational efficiency whilst maintaining a safe work environment and deliver a balanced outcome meeting our customer requirements. What we are looking for:
- Thinking strategically: Clearly recognise broad underlying operational drivers and medium term implications of issues. Develop team goals, strategies and processes and promote alignment to our objectives.
- Analysis and use of evidence: Research all angles of a problem or issue, making use of data from a wide range of sources. Undertake objective systematic analysis, give advice and develop solutions based on sound evidence.
- Influential communication: Prepare and deliver effective presentations to both internal and external stakeholders with key messages upfront. Draw out divergent views and present own position in a credible, relevant and motivating way.
- Managing relationships: Negotiate, build and manage effective partnerships with stakeholders including seeking feedback. Promote collaboration between GLS management, Business Improvement and Operational Staff.
- Achieving results: Monitor progress of improvement initiatives and follow up actions with others to achieve objectives. Show a clear understanding of influencing factors and develop practical solutions to solve problems.
