The Role

We are looking for a full-time Occupational Therapist who is passionate about remote work (with part time options considered). You will be based in the Darwin office, which is a bright and open workspace, shared with a multidisciplinary team.

We know that service delivery in remote contexts can be different and we pride ourselves on supporting clinicians working in these areas. At Patches we have an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Allied Health Assistant workforce and dedicated cultural mentor who can provide supervision and support. We also offer a professional development budget for ongoing learning.

There is also opportunity for a small caseload and travel to our Patches site in Alice Springs! There is also scope to be involved in a unique project working closely with schools in remote communities outside Alice Springs. To be involved in this project, you would travel to Alice Springs once a month during the working week. We do not expect our clinicians to be away on weekends, unless you want to explore the area!

We know that remote work can be taxing and staff safety is paramount to us. We have established procedures to ensure staff safety and our expectations for the duration of outreach trips are balanced. We take the time to establish connections with local community members and you will travel with another clinician for remote visits.
With over 90% of the Northern Territories land mass being classified as remote what better place to be immersed in remote experiences!
