The Clinical Program, within the Digital Solutions Delivery Branch, require a Principal Business Analyst to lead, manage and undertake the review, gap and impact analysis, documentation of current state and future state business processes, services and roles and lead the establishment of the new service, including support and transition to business-as-usual within a large and complex Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment, ensuring the delivery of valued, integrated and effective business solutions to program/project(s).
Additionally, you will contribute to an effective client focused team and work collaboratively to initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders.
Your experience working as a consultant will enable you to contribute to the ongoing development of the Business Analyst Practice within the Clinical Program and eHealth Queensland.
Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities within IM/ICT projects preferably in the health care industry.
You will also have proven experience leading business process modelling activities for large organisations, preferably using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN). A high level of knowledge of and the ability to provide advice on the application of appropriate business analysis techniques, methodologies and tools preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 3.0 (BABOK) is essential.
You will have the proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders including mentoring other business analysts within the organisation. Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a project environment is essential.

The Digital Solutions Delivery Branch is Queensland Health's trusted partner and advisor for digital health project delivery excellence. The branch includes three units;
- Digital Solution and Technology
- Digital Health and Business Solutions and
- Digital Solution Delivery Services.
The core function of the branch is to ensure successful delivery of major IT projects and initiatives to our customers across Queensland Health for the benefit of all Queenslanders. The Business Analysis Practice provides staff development through an established Business Analysts Career Pathway, professional association membership to the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), access to online learning and training and support through mentoring from the Business Analysts community.
