An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional Principal House Officer to join our team within the Department of Vascular Surgery. The Principal House Officer (Vascular Surgery) position will assist the Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff to ensure that Vascular Surgical services provided by the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner, and to be involved in the provision of patient services.

The SCHHS provides healthcare to a rapidly growing population. There has been significant investment in services over the past few years, in particular the establishment of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the Nambour General Hospital redevelopment. The SCHHS also delivers services through hospitals in Gympie, Caloundra and Maleny. In addition, the SCHHS operates a residential aged care facility in Nambour and provides community health services and community mental health services through a range of stand-alone facilities located across the Sunshine Coast region.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain up to date surgical skills.
- Provide high quality, safe care and advice to patients presenting to the clinical areas of the Department of Vascular Surgery.
- Provide patient care in accordance with the ethics and standards of the medical profession.
Salary between $4,458.40 - $4,910.70 p.f. (L4-L7) (temporary full time position, 76 hrs p.f. up until 05/02/2023. Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy.
