The role
Reporting to the Manager, Office of Health Statutory Agencies you will provide expert advice and support to staff, senior managers, the Director-General and the Minister on the development and implementation of policy issues and proposals relating to health statutory agencies' governance and legislative accountability. You will undertake compliance audits, research, environmental scanning, and critical analysis to identify and advise on future strategic opportunities, priorities, and issues.
Furthermore, you will manage key projects as required, such as significant appointments and board development forums and activities, including directing the work of staff, consultants and/or temporary contractors engaged to undertake components of the project work.
The successful person
To be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive understanding and breadth of experience in rapidly acquiring knowledge of strategic policy, legislative requirements, and planning processes relevant to health statutory agencies. You will have experience in projects in a large, complex service delivery organisation with high-level written and oral communication including writing high-quality reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence.
In addition to this, you will have the proven ability to communicate with influence, interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to cultivate productive working relationships and networks.
