Job Details
The role
Reporting to the Manager, of Funding Strategy and Intergovernmental Policy you be will responsible for delivering high quality health services in Queensland by ensuring Queenland Health is appropriately funded and represented in governmental policy debates. This role will require you to contribute to the development of Queensland Health's annual Budget and Mid-Year review submissions, including identification of key funding priorities and co-ordinating information and data requests from across Queensland Health under tight timeframes for the annual agency budget papers. You will be required to establish relationships with professional networks which will assist you in identifying, researching and advising on policy issues. Additionally, you will utilise your highly developed written skills to prepare submissions, reports and correspondence related to cabinet budget review committee submissions etc.
The successful person
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to successfully build professional relationship and networks. Your flexible and agile approach will assist you in balancing multiple projects within a tight timeframe. You will demonstrate initiative and be able to work effectively and autonomously. In addition, you will also demonstrate a sound understanding of policy and budget cycles and possess a strong public policy analysis and strategic thinking capabilities.
