About the role

Support the Director of Medical Imaging Services in the continuous improvement of services by managing and leading the medical imaging clinical research program.

About you

Knowledge, skills and expertise

Clinical/research

  • Extensive post-doctoral level clinical research methodology knowledge, skills and expertise in the area of imaging examinations across all high-end technology imaging modalities, and extensive reputation in own research agenda.
  • Expert level clinical knowledge of imaging equipment and resources, including PACS and artificial intelligence/computer aided detection, and the ability to use this knowledge to design strategies to evaluate, implement and optimise the use of new technology in medical imaging services.

Communication

  • Ability to develop research collaborations and working relationships with universities, professional associations, industry, government and non-government organisations, and other research organisations.
  • High level communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage and promote research capability, to provide authoritative advice on research, ethics and research governance frameworks and standards.

Management and Leadership

  • Professional management skills across the operations of a large professional discipline and multidisciplinary workforce, including strategic alignment of direction with relevant health service
