About the Role

The Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/midwife) in Logan Hospital delivers safe compassionate clinical care; working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes. The RN/midwife engages in reflective, analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct person-centred care. The RN/midwife continually improves their skills and knowledge developing from graduate to highly skilled Registered Nurse.

About the Logan and Beaudesert Health Service

Logan and Beaudesert Health Service is a primary provider of public hospital services to the communities of the Scenic Rim Shire, Logan City, and the southern bayside suburbs of Brisbane City. Logan is one of the fastest growing regions in the state.

Logan Hospital is a 410-bed secondary teaching hospital which offers the following health services:

• Surgery specialities including general, oral, orthopaedic, maxillofacial, ear nose and throat, intensive care, anaesthetics.
• Medical units including general, emergency, respiratory, cardiology/coronary care, gastroenterology, renal, rehabilitation, palliative care.
• Women's and Children's services including general paediatrics, special care nursery, obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Acute mental health care including both adults and adolescents.

Beaudesert Hospital is a 22 bed rural hospital with procedural and birthing services.
