About the role

  • Monitor research taking place across Metro North sites, ensuring the protection and promotion of the rights, safety and wellbeing of research participants.
  • Educate researchers and ensure that Metro North satisfies its responsibilities under the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007) (updated 2018), the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research 2018, and International Conference of Harmonisation-Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP).
  • Ensure that Metro North exercises appropriate quality control over research and complies with any relevant internal or applicable external policies, including the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
