The Health Capital Division (HCD) works with the Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), the Department of Health, other government agencies and the construction sector to achieve value for money infrastructure outcomes.
HCD delivers an end-to-end capital infrastructure process. This includes all capital planning, business cases, construction and maintenance programs, whilst managing these through government processes for Queensland Health in partnership with HHSs.
The Division is client focused and tailors its support to the individual needs of our HHS partners.
The role
Reporting to the Executive Director Strategy, Assets and Support, this key role assumes overall responsibility and accountability for the HCD governance, risk and compliance functions for all aspects of major capital programs. You will lead several key functions which consists of leading a multidisciplinary team overseeing governance, risk and compliance, development of inputs into the state budget, development of timely government submissions to Cabinet and lead the team to achieve program and project outcomes.
The successful person
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in governance, risk and compliance functions. You will have demonstrated skills in leading best practice Government administration for projects/initiatives, demonstrated broad knowledge and strategic agility. The Senior Director Governance, Risk and Compliance will additionally have a good track record managing organisations' vision and purpose, good organisational agility and decision-making quality.
