The role
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Corporate Services Division, The Senior Director of Health and Safety is a key member of the Division's Human Resources Leadership Team, responsible for providing high-level strategic leadership in health and safety through the provision of innovative and responsive operational, specialist programs and initiatives in order to deliver a safe working environment for staff, students, volunteers and visitors across Queensland Health. Through the provision of professional leadership, the Senior Director will shape, define and improve health and safety systems and standards in collaboration with the business.
The successful person
The successful candidate will have a significant background in health and safety within a large complex organisation, with exceptional knowledge and experience in the interpretation and implementation of health and safety systems in a decentralised complex environment. You will have proven leadership experience and hold the ability to drive health and safety culture from a behavioural and compliance perspective. Additionally the successful candidate will be highly passionate about fostering a safe, healthy, and respectful workplace through leadership style. Your ability to demonstrate high level verbal and written communication along with stakeholder engagement skills will also be of high level.
