The role
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Corporate Services Division, you will be a key member of the Department`s HR Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading the provision of dedicated direct-to-client HR advisory services to executives, senior managers, and staff across the Department. The HR Advisory Services unit will partner with client portfolios in the provision and delivery of tactical, operational, and advisory services in HR, employee relations, industrial relations, work health and safety, rehabilitation and injury management, recruitment services and myHR service support. Your expertise, leadership and effective HR partnering approach will support the high performance and exceptional service delivery of the Branch.

The successful person
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of contemporary and best practice human resource management functions and service delivery and partnering models. Your ability in the management of, and accountability for, HR advisory services within a large, complex organisation will be of high standards. You will also have:

  • Ability to provide expertise and advice to a range of stakeholders, business partners and executive leadership members
  • Considerable skill in leading and influencing diverse teams, to achieve multi-disciplinary contribution to performance and outcomes
  • Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills at a senior level and achievements in cultivating productive working relationships, partnerships and teamwork
  • High level written communication skills
  • A high level of professional integrity and commitment to public service values
