This is driven by our growing and ageing population, and compounded by pressures on primary, aged and disability care. To help address this, the Health Capital Division (HCD), in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen.
This includes building three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities and delivering thousands of new hospital beds over the next decade. The division is responsible for delivering the end-to-end capital infrastructure process, like planning, business cases, construction, and capital maintenance programs.

The role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Infrastructure Planning, the Senior Director, Infrastructure Investment Development will lead, manage and facilitate the development of state-wide Queensland Health capital infrastructure options in the early planning phases in collaboration with clinical service planning areas within the Department and Hospital and Health Services. You will lead and manage program and project teams, including consultancies, within a complex environment, under the strategic direction of the Executive Director.
The successful person
As a subject matter expert within infrastructure development, you will need to have a proven high-level experience and knowledge of leading teams in program and project proposal development, particularly in the early planning phase focused on solutions optioneering. You will also have a demonstrated ability to plan, manage, implement, provide strategic solutions, and review large scale asset management programs and improvement initiatives.
