As the Senior Finance Officer, you will provide advice and recommendations and assist with the interpretation of directives in the development of workable solutions that will ensure compliance with financial and budgetary management practices, incorporating legislative requirements and Government policy.

This role specifically provides specialist advice to the senior management on the follow:
  • Costing Analytics
  • Finance and Budgetary
  • Undertake research adequate response to new public sector management
  • Budget initiatives
Further duties include:
  • Develop and use management tools to analyse and report data, ensuring that records are maintained, and financial outputs are timely, accurate, and meaningful.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and reporting requirements, including budgetary and public administration policies.
  • Coordinate low to medium cost/risk ICT procurement activities to enhance strategic focus and ensure probity and accountability of the process aligns with Procurement Policy and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to the success of projects by demonstrating expertise in project methodology and flexibility in managing workloads with a focus on meeting agreed deadlines.

Your application will highlight your expertise in the use and development of contemporary financial management and budgetary information technology, as well as experience in the research, review, interpretation and analysis of information is vital in this role.
Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with expertise or ability to acquire expertise in the development and delivery of formal and informal training programs is essential in securing this role.
About Clinical Program:
The Clinical Program is a commercial business unit within Delivery Services Branch that operates on a fee for service basis. Consultancy services offered to Queensland Health customers include Analysis, Design, Project Management, Development and Testing.
The Clinical Program operates similar to commercial ICT consultancies where consultants move been assignments (and clients) and may be expected to work simultaneously on multiple assignments/projects as they transition between assignments or if an assignment is small in size and complexity. The Clinical Program encourages consultants to develop close working relationships with clients and frequently physically co-locate with clients across Brisbane in order to develop close working relationships.
