About the role

An exciting opportunity is currently available for multiple experienced Senior Medical Officers to join the Medical Imaging department at the West Moreton Health Hospital, the Senior Medical Officer will need to provide comprehensive expertise and services as required in the area of Medical Imaging. Medical Imaging supports the treatment of inpatients and outpatients within Ipswich Hospital and supports Rural Hospitals and Prison Health within West Moreton. Medical Imaging provides a range of modalities including CT, MRI, OPG, Ultrasound, Mammography, General X-ray and Fluoroscopy. There is a strong demand for interventional procedures.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to lead and manage the delivery of patient care in area of Medical Imaging.
  • Ability to manage complex clinical situations, ideally within a tertiary level teaching facility.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively use problem solving, change management and conflict resolution frameworks.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, patients and their carers'.
  • Ability to facilitate a learning environment by sharing knowledge and expertise, participating in teaching and research activities.
