Join our driven and dedicated team to support health integration across Queensland Health. You will be part of the Operational Support team managing over 400+ interfaces. These encompass a range of integration technologies including HL7, XML & Web Services currently delivered using JCAPS/e*Gate and Rhapsody; with an organisationally supported migration to Rhapsody in progress.
Who are you?
To secure this role, you are an enthusiastic individual who can work as a collaborative member of the established team with limited supervision in a complex environment with constantly competing needs. You are not afraid to offer your ideas to improve the outcomes for our clients and actively seek ways to improve our services, ideally aligning with ITIL methodologies.
Preferably you would possess a sound knowledge in the health messaging domain (including HL7) with experience supporting complex solutions using one or more of the following:
- Application integration interfaces (HL7 v2.3-v2.5, FHIR)
- Web service technologies (REST/SOAP)
- Monitoring technologies (Elastic Stack, Grafana)
- Deployment technologies (Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible)
- Database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Knowledge of *nix systems administration (Solaris/RHEL/CentOS)
- Experience in using Lyniate Rhapsody Integration Engine 6.5 or later
- Experience in using Sun JCAPS 5.1.3 or later

The Queensland Health Systems Integration Team has operated since 2001; supporting over 400+ interfaces to and from various health applications and supporting services. These include Patient Administration Systems, Client Directory, Pathology, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR's) to name but a few.
We have a dedicated team of Analysts, Developers and Operational Support who all actively strive to deliver timely and the highest quality messaging to our clients the public of Queensland. Currently the vast majority of our integration solutions are delivered using e*Gate and/or JCAPS and Rhapsody; with an organisationally supported migration to Rhapsody in progress.
