The role:
As the Senior Technology Officer for the Far North Digital Partnership Team, you will primarily provide operational level 2 on-site and remote ICT technical support to Queensland Health sites as well as, configure, install, monitor, support and manage the ICT environments by applying high level technical expertise in one or more technical domains including:

  • End User Computing
  • Servers
  • Networks and Unified Communications

You will provide timely support to clients by conducting thorough investigations and diagnosis of incidents and providing remedial action ensuring agreed Service levels a maintained

For further information regarding the above technical domains, please refer to attachment 1 within the role description attached.

The position is required to provide ICT support to Queensland Health sites within the Torres Strait/Cape York areas and, therefore will require up to one-to-two weeks per month travel to one or both locations via car/light aircraft/helicopter/boat. Appropriate remuneration under the relevant award will apply.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain and work within procedures for the maintenance and support of one or more technical domains.
  • Provide excellent customer service by applying effective organisational and communication skills with an ability to negotiate, advise and work collaboratively with others to reach decisions.
  • Meet enterprise service levels by applying eHealth incident management processes.

Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring, and implementation of ICT environments in one or more technical domains. You will be able to identify and resolve ICT related problems within defined service level agreements and understand new and emerging ICT technologies and products as they relate to eHealth Queensland. You will also have experience and knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL Service Management processes.

Additionally, you will have proven experience in delivering high quality ICT support to clients, with an emphasis on managing workloads, prioritising tasks and working unsupervised. You will have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed timeframes and demonstrate your well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable the creation and maintenance of system documentation, work instructions and technical reports for management.
