About the role
This role will provide high quality clinical care to patients requiring Paediatric services within West Moreton Health and to clinically manage the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable service to ensure appropriate patient care. Additionally, this role will provide professional leadership within the specialty area and provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care members.
The overarching principle of this unit is safe medical practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated current knowledge, expertise and clinical skills in Paediatrics.
- Proven well developed interpersonal and communication skills, including proven ability to participate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Supervision of staff in relation to patient care by setting clear expectations, by encouraging and providing constructive feedback and demonstrating solid leadership skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing clinical and teaching programs in the areas of child health for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for medical and nursing professionals.
- A commitment to your own ongoing professional development and actively contributes to professional membership networks
