The Facility:
This is a 200 bed acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services. A high incidence of road accidents, skin cancer, farm injuries and work safety accidents occur in the region. Population numbers swell during the fruit harvest season when an estimated 10,000 itinerant workers from throughout Australia and overseas visit the region. Snake bites, cuts, scratches to the eyes from branches, injuries caused by falling from a fruit picking ladder and allergic reactions are among the most common conditions treated during the this period.

The Role:
The hospital is seeking an Anaesthetist with FANZCA (or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics which meet ANZCA requirements for practicing in this position) for one of its three Anaesthetic positions.

The Requirements:
Ideally you should hold the FANZCA. For overseas applicants as a minimum you should have already had your training assessed by ANZCA and been found to be substantially comparable.
