About the Role
Understand and role model behaviour consistent with the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service. That is, perform all duties with integrity and impartiality, whilst promoting the public good, having commitment to the system of government, and with accountability and transparency.
Lead or actively participate in unit and hospital wide initiatives.
Provision of inpatient and outpatient services in cardiology (Redland Hospital) and at the Yulu-Burri-Ba Outreach Clinic. Part of this role involves a targeted strategy to reduce long wait category 1 and category 2 cardiology outpatients.
Provision and reporting of cardiac diagnostic services, including transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiograms, holter monitors, exercise stress tests and ambulatory blood pressure monitors.
Participate an on-call roster for cardiology where applicable, including weekends and public holidays.
Ensure an optimal training experience in terms of knowledge and skills development for junior medical staff, medical students and other staff as appropriate.
