Department of Health are seeking experienced, hardworking and reliable Truck Drivers (Transport Officers) to transport linen, clinical and non-clinical supplies to hospitals and health facilities across Queensland.

These positions require qualified holders of a medium rigid, heavy rigid or multi-combination licences who can work in a fast-paced, team orientated distribution centre where movement and physical suitability to perform the manual handling tasks associated with completing the role are required. A high level of customer service and a positive attitude are a must to be successful in this role.

These positions are operational and you will be required to work on a shift basis, 7 days per week.

You will be responsible for:

  • transporting goods on behalf of Queensland Health hospitals and health facilities
  • loading and unloading supplies into trucks using roll on/roll off trolleys, tall boys, pallets and/or roll cages in a safe manner
  • complying with Queensland Government road rules, heaving vehicle national law and licensing requirements including the keeping of accurate, legible vehicle logs/driving records and submit to your supervisor at the end of each shift.

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 and other vaccine preventable diseases as detailed in the role description.
