About our Team

Our Work Safety and Wellbeing Team incorporates Injury Management; Safety and Injury Prevention; Occupational Violence Prevention; and Wellbeing.

The Injury Management Team provide leadership in the area of health, rehabilitation, injury management and return to work services across West Moreton Health (WMH) including WorkCover and QSuper claims management.

The Safety team provides training, advice and support to line managers and staff regarding all aspects of safety. They are responsible for working with line managers to create a safe work environment for all staff and visitors to our facilities. They recognise that the provision of a safe environment is critical to the success of our Health Service and contributes to staff retention and maximises productivity. They are responsible for ensuring that workplace health and safety risks are minimised, and sound practices are embedded throughout West Moreton.

Working within the Wellbeing Team you will find yourself, planning and promoting relevant employee wellbeing initiatives. Focussing on wellbeing at work can benefit our staff by helping them to feel happy, competent and satisfied in their roles. The Team develop and implement innovative strategies to improve Health Service performance in Work Safety and Wellbeing and provide a calendar of events that are aimed at a variety of different aspects of social, mental and physical wellbeing.

The Occupational Violence Prevention Team coordinate, develop, deliver and support occupational violence prevention (OVP) services and activities across WMH.
